Emirates Flights
About Emirates
Emirates flies 18 times a day to Dubai from a choice of seven UK gateways, offering convenient onward connections to more than 140 destinations worldwide. Onboard, passengers can enjoy world-class service, regionally inspired gourmet cuisine and up to 5,000 channels of the latest award-winning entertainment, plus Wi-Fi connectivity.
Plus, Emirates is going all A380 to one of our favourite destinations…SYDNEY. Starting in November 2023, the third daily Emirates service will be upgraded to its double-decker aircraft with a three-class configuration, complementing the other two four-class services and adding more connection opportunities to and from Dubai.
Check-in
Emirates passengers can check in for flights 1 of 3 ways:
Web Check-in is available up to 90 minutes before departure, with the online check-in window opening 48 hours prior to your flight. Simply print your boarding pass and proceed to security once baggage has been checked at the drop-off counter.
Mobile Check-in operates in the same way to web check-in facilities, however your e-boarding pass is displayed on your internet-capable mobile phone or tablet device.
Airport Check-in is available up to 1 hour before departure for First and Business Class passengers, with those travelling in Economy Class advised to check in at least 3 hours before their flight.
Baggage
Carry On
Carry-on allowances vary between cabin classes.
Economy Class passengers are permitted one piece of carry-on baggage, subject to the following size and weight limitations: 55 x 38 x 20cm (22 x 15 x 8 inches). Weight must not exceed 7kg (15lb).
Business and First Class passengers are permitted to bring two pieces of baggage on board, in the form of one small cabin-size case and a non-rigid garment bag.
Duty-free purchases of alcohol, cigarettes and perfume in reasonable quantities are also permitted in addition to the above. You must be able to lift your own bag into the overhead locker. Cabin crew can assist you if you are elderly, travelling with young children or have a condition that requires support.
Checked
Standard checked baggage allowances vary across Emirates cabin classes. Business Class passengers can check 40kg of baggage for passage, while First Class passengers are allowed 50kg of checked baggage.
The baggage allowance in Economy Class depends on ticket fare brand – passengers can choose the fare and benefits which fit best with their journey. This new allowance applies to Economy only, is applicable on all tickets purchased on or after 20th June 2016, and fare types are listed below:
- Special: 15kg
- Saver: 25kg
- Flex: 30kg
- Flex Plus: 35kg
