San José/La Fortuna
Wake up in Costa Rica's capital and visit a G Adventures-supported coffee cooperative. Meet local farmers, explore shade-grown coffee, and learn about the production process from bean to cup. After a traditional lunch with coffee, head to La Fortuna, near Arenal Volcano. In the evening, visit a local home to make tortillas and enjoy a classic Costa Rican meal of black beans, plantains, and your handmade tortillas.

La Fortuna
Spend the day exploring La Fortuna and its surroundings. After Arenal Volcano's eruption in 1968, this peaceful town became a hub for adventure. Choose from activities like stand-up paddleboarding on Lake Arenal, relaxing at a natural hot spring, or taking a boat tour of the Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, one of the world’s top wetlands.

La Fortuna/Monteverde
Journey from La Fortuna to the lush cloud forests of Monteverde, a haven for nature enthusiasts. This afternoon, opt for a thrilling zip-lining experience in the birthplace of the canopy tour, soaring above the treetops or speeding through the misty forest.

Monteverde
Hike through the beautiful Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve, passing ferns and orchids, and possibly spotting a quetzal. Then, visit the Monteverde Institute to learn about its conservation efforts, including a successful reforestation project, from a researcher.

Monteverde/Manuel Antonio National Park
Leave the cloud forest and head to Costa Rica’s Pacific coast, settling into your hotel in the coastal village of Manuel Antonio. Enjoy the relaxed vibe, try surfing or sailing, or simply unwind on the beach.

Manuel Antonio National Park
Explore the tropical forests and beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica’s smallest but most stunning park, home to monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and more. Hike through the forest, enjoy ocean views from rocky outcrops, and swim in the lagoons. You can also try surfing, horseback riding, or kayaking through the mangroves.

Manuel Antonio National Park/San José
Today you'll return to San José from Manuel Antonio National Park and can choose to join the rest of your group with a farewell dinner in the Costa Rican capital.
