Day 1
Pisa
Fly from the UK to Pisa and pick up your car. Snap some photographs of the famed Leaning Tower, and enjoy dinner overlooking the iconic structure at night.
Days 2-3
San Gimignano
Drive onto San Gimignano, passing incredible scenery on the way. Also known as ‘Medieval Manhattan’, spend your time here exploring the winding stone streets and medieval architecture which make up this pretty walled town. The Historical Centre of San Gimignano is a UNESCO World Heritage Site; peruse the medieval tower houses dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. Make sure you pay a visit to Gelateria Dondoli. This award-winning ice-cream spot is run by Sergio Dondoli, a member of Italy’s Ice Cream World Championship team, and the flavours are delicious.
Days 4-5
Florence
Hop back in the car and continue to Florence, a city bursting with some of the world’s greatest artistic jewels and Renaissance treasures. Marvel at the Duomo cathedral before climbing it for mesmerising views over the city. Discover Michelangelo’s David, one of the most revered statues ever produced. With the help of your knowledgeable guide, you’ll learn all about how the statue came to be, as well as discovering more about the other paintings and sculptures on show in the Galleria dell’Accademia. Make a break away from the crowds and venture into the Chianti wine region to tour some vineyards, taste some wine and take a trip to Greve, one of the best known wine villages in Italy, while you're at it.

The rolling hills and incredible landscapes of Tuscany is where you’ll spend the last few days of your Journey. Stretching from the Apennines to the Tyrrhenian Sea, this picturesque Italian region promises medieval hilltop towns, endless olive groves and spectacular art.
