Yes, Alaska is generally safe for tourists. If in doubt, we recommend you follow travel advisories, keep up to date with local guidelines and use common sense. (P.S. Don’t forget to grab some travel insurance, that way you’re covered in case something does go wrong).

The best time to visit Alaska is from June to September for mild weather and long daylight hours. If you’re after prime northern lights viewing conditions, then August to April is your best bet.

Layered clothing and sturdy, waterproof footwear are recommended for your trip to Alaska. If in doubt, warm clothes are always a good idea up north.

Tours typically range from one week to two weeks, giving you plenty of time to spot wildlife in the rugged wilderness, go star-gazing under the northern lights and chat with locals in quaint towns. Got more time up your sleeve? Chat with our travel experts about extending your trip or even tacking on another tour.

Travel insurance is generally not included in the tour package itself. With that in mind, it’s a pretty important part of your holiday, so chat with our travel experts about including it as part of your booking total.
